DENISON, Texas (KTEN) — Residents of the East Coast Apartments complex on West Crawford Street in Denison are facing another night with no electricity as temperatures begin to drop.

Tenants claim their situation has grown worse since new management took over; maintenance requests are ignored, water and sewer issues are causing mold.

Now there is no power.

Tenants received a disconnection notice on all their doors days ago, stating that the electricity would be switched off in response to non-payment by the apartment complex.

Residents maintain that they have paid their rent on time, and that electricity is included in their monthly payment.

"It's frustrating, because you cannot get ahold of them," said Jeneva Zelis. "They won't answer their phones ... here it is 10:42 and we still do not know what is going to happen."

With no information from the management, residents fear things will continue to get worse for them without electric power.

KTEN reached out to East Coast Apartments management and received no response.
