GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — A child pornography case in Pauls Valley has led the Garvin County Sheriff's Department to what's turning out to be a global network of pedophiles.

Warren Gilbert, 58, was arrested in April on multiple charges of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $250,000.

The Garvin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force later found a Zoom link on his computer which led them to another suspect, Neal Garith, in Maryland.

Garith, 39, was extradited to the Garvin County Jail and faces several internet crimes against children charges, including distribution of child porn. His bond was set at $1 million.

"Our investigatiion is continuing into other states, where other people have been involved in this Zoom meeting, and bringing that to Garvin County," said Sheriff Jim Mullett. "We are looking at three other states, and we are getting to present charges to three other people for distributing child pornography to Garvin County."

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in recent years there has been a significant increase in reports of crimes against children across oklahoma.

Gilbert's case also led investigators to suspects in other countries, including, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
