ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Ardmore High School, one of the best track programs in the state had two of its runners sign their collegiate letters of intent on Thursday. 

Ricky Smith Jr. signed with the University of Oklahoma after previously committing to Southeastern Oklahoma State University for football. Smith Jr. won multiple medals at the OSSAA state track championships in May.

"It all fell into place," said Smith Jr. "I just thank God that he directed my path."

Naughtica Douglas will also stay in the sooner state to run track at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The feel at Southeastern won her over. 

"The people were very friendly, the coach was very very friendly," said Douglas. "It's better to stay closer to home and closer to my family."
