MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has ended its search for a Denison teenager had been a passenger aboard a personal watercraft on Lake Texoma Tuesday evening.

OHP Trooper Rodney Davis said the victim, 19-year-old Brashon Keith Waddles, fell from the vessel as the operator was attempting to make a sharp turn shortly before 7 p.m. Waddles disappeared in the water. 

The search began where he fell near Oak View Beach on the Marshall County side of the lake and continued on Wednesday morning.

Waddles' body was recovered and he was pronounced dead. Davis said the victim had not been wearing a flotation device.

The operator of the Yamaha Wave Runner was identified as Anthony Holland Jr., 19, from Sherman. 

Twelve dive teams were said to have been involved in the search.
