DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) -- Hours after three Durant High School students were killed in a car crash early Monday morning, dozens of friends and family members gathered for a somber vigil.

A fourth student in the vehicle subsequently succumbed to his injuries.

The large crowd shared hugs and tears as they paid respects to the victims, identified as Fernando Flores, Hunter Ford and Kaleb Foster.

"I've known Kaleb since I was eight; We grew up together," said classmate Camdon Cooper. "We were like brothers."

Jack Sarver, the fourth occupant of the vehicle, died later. All four young men are student athletes.

Police said a truck driven by Bradley Shawn Pittman of Atoka crashed into the boys' car from behind at the intersection of Radio Road and West Main Street. The impact caused the car to veer off the road.

Police said Pittman, 42, was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has photos or videos of what happened is asked to call Durant police.

The Durant Independent School district issued this brief statement:

"It is with heavy hearts that we ask for continued prayers for the families of the students involved in the tragic accident last night."

Fundraisers have been established for some of the victims, and they've already raised well over $10,000.
