Suspect sought after Sherman bank holdup
SHERMAN, Texas -- Sherman police are searching for a bank robber who made off with more than $10,000 cash on Tuesday morning.
The alarm went out just before 9 a.m. at First Texoma National Bank on FM 1417 at US 82.
Police spokesman Lt. Jeremy Cox said a threat was made but no weapons were displayed.
"We do have local FBI assets here, and so we are working with them and the bank to try to get all the information that we can," Cox said.
The suspect was seeing fleeing north on FM 1417 in a green Ford Ranger pickup truck with Oklahoma plates.
The shopping center adjacent to the bank was blocked off as the investigation was under way.
