ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Ardmore Adventist Academy got a big boost on Friday.

The school received a $12,500 check from the Oklahoma Opportunity Scholarship Program on Friday, which will fund the education of four new students.

"We hope that they will recognize and be grateful for the opportunities they've had," said the school board's chairperson Sheila Teal.

The OOSP scholarships are awarded to public and private schools across Oklahoma.

Ardmore Adventist Academy serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
