Ranger's Station in Mead is known to many locals as one of the best fishing spots on Lake Texoma, but to Bryan County deputies. It’s known as the place where many abandoned vehicles are found.

"It’s an area where there is not a lot of traffic and not a lot of vehicles so it's an easy place to abandoned things," said Bryan County Investigator John Haislip.

Sunday afternoon Deputies received a call about another abandoned vehicle in Ranger Station but this time it was an 18 wheeler

Bryan County Investigator John Haislip says when the deputy arrived on scene he opened a door to the semi, he says a type of gas spilled out taking the deputy's breath away and sending him to the hospital.

"He was fine but it's put him off a couple of the days," said Investigator Haislip

The semi was impounded but Haislip says the driver and the owner of the semi still haven't been found.

"We do know that a vehicle was taken down to an auction down in Texas where it was auctioned but not sold. Apparently it broke down on the way back and we are not sure how it got from where it broke down to where we found it," said Haislip
