THACKERVILLE, Okla. (KTEN) — A Thackerville police officer was arrested for larceny of a house on Wednesday by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. 

The Thackerville police chief was notified that 29-year-old officer Erwin Kenneth Parker allegedly stole a gun from someone's property while responding to an unattended death on April 3.

The Love County Sheriff's Office investigated the allegations and turned their findings over to the OSBI.

Parker was arrested and booked into the Love County Jail just after noon on Wednesday. He was later released after posting bond.
