McKINNEY, Texas (KTEN) — Two people died in a small plane that crashed south of McKinney National Airport on Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for the city said the twin-engine Cessna 414A Chancellor went down shortly after takeoff.

Three people were on board the 44-year-old aircraft. The surviving victim was taken to a Dallas hospital.

Federal Aviation Administration records indicate the plane was registered to Hunger Relief Ministries based in Forney, Texas. No identities have been released.
