SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Construction for the 33,000 square foot expansion at Sherman High School is set to begin in mid-July.

The project will add 20 classrooms, making room for 525 more students — increasing the school's capacity to just over 3,213 students.

The expansion, funded by the 2023 bond program, will take around 13 months, and is expected to be ready in time for the 2025-26 school year.
