DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — A sport utility vehicle and a dog were stolen from a Durant business on Thursday afternoon, but this story has a happy ending.

The BMW was taken just before 1 o'clock with the owner's pet Husky inside.

Bryan County deputies and police from Durant, Calera, and Colbert began looking for the vehicle.

The car was was stopped heading south on US 75 in Durant; the driver, identified as 30-year-old Dariuse Tyson Boyd, was arrested and taken to the Bryan County Jail facing theft and larceny charges.

The dog and the car were returned to the owner safely.
