PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (KTEN) — Oklahoma State Auditor Cindy Byrd released an audit Wednesday on the circumstances surrounding the 2018 shutdown of Pauls Valley General Hospital.

Taxpayers requested the audit of the City of Pauls Valley between 2015 and 2020.

The report found some minor violations, including that the city was responsible for 32 violations of the Open Meetings Act; and a contractor — who was assisting in closing the hospital — was paid $53,000 more than what was originally agreed upon.
