GUNTER, Texas (KTEN) — A special meeting was called Thursday evening regarding a Burlington Northern Santa Fe lawsuit against the City of Gunter.

The city council decided to take no action on the suit.

This lawsuit, filed in Grayson County, comes after the new city council denied a BNSF preliminary plat to build a logistics center on the property along Preston Road.

The proposal was denied by the council. Mayor Karen Souther said it does not comply with Grayson County's Master Thoroughfare Plan or existing city zoning ordinances.

The lawsuit was last on the agenda list, with one of the first items being the official appointment of City Attorney Courtney Goodman-Morris, who will be heavily involved in the BNSF lawsuit against the city.
