ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — An Ardmore woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for child endangerment.

Laurie Garland was arrested in July 2022 for driving under the influence for the eighth time. She was convicted in February.

Prosecutors said at the time of her arrest, Garland was traveling with her four-month-old son in the vehicle. That's what led to the child endangerment charges.

The court accepted the jury's recommendation of a 25-year term at Garland's sentencing hearing last week.
