LONE GROVE, Okla. (KTEN) — Police are still trying to determine if human remains found in Cooke County, Texas, will solve the mystery of a missing man.

Tommy Tynes, 61, was last seen in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, on April 17, believed to be on his way to Gainesville, Texas to meet a family member. A Silver Alert was issued when he failed to show up.

Tynes' red Honda Civic was found in Texas last weekend with human remains nearby. No positive identification has been released.

"It's very out of character for Tommy not to show back up or call," said Cathy Klein, the missing man's sister. "He was home a majority of the time, and when he did make trips he always came home."

Clayton Fox, 29, and Elisha King, 35, were arrested in Ringling on April 24 after attempting to withdraw cash using bank cards belonging to Tynes. They are both facing charges related to unauthorized use of a debit card along with burglary and drug counts.
