SADLER, Texas (KTEN)- Wednesday was officially day two of the Dan Pike era at S&S.

And the Rams new head football coach couldn't be more excited about the opportunity.

Pike has 15 years of coaching experience. He comes to S&S from Colleyville Heritage where he was the offensive coordinator last season.

Now, he'll look to turn around a Ram program that is currently on a 16-game losing streak.

Pike said his goal is for his daughters to one day graduate from S&S, and he hopes that commitment will inspire buy-in from his players as they take the field this fall.

"It's the old adage, we all got to get our arrows pointed in the right direction. With a new athletic director and head football coach coming in, I've got to earn those guys trust," Pike said. "I told them day one, 'Hey, I love you guys. I'm here for you. I'm here for the long term.' And as soon as they can reciprocate that and trust me, we can start the process of building a successful athletic program."
