BONHAM, Texas (KTEN) — In Tuesday's city council meeting, a proclamation was issued to honor Choice Moore, the longest tenured county official in Fannin County.

At the meeting, Moore's niece and nephew presented Moore's gavel which is made up of wood from the original county courthouse built in 1888. In 1948, he was elected as judge and would be reelected eight more times, making him the longest-serving Fannin County Judge.
