TIOGA, Texas (KTEN) — Parts of Grayson County have been inundated by a month's worth of rain in less than two weeks.

Range Creek is overflowing in Tioga; a road is washed out, and a rescue mission was triggered Sunday as a result of flooding.

Tioga volunteer firefighters helped the driver of an an Amazon delivery truck that washed off the road.

"He was able to walk through the truck and come out to the back doors, where we tied him off, and then we walked him from his truck to dry ground," recalled Assistant Chief Elvin Fisk.

Firefighters said this situation could have been avoided if safety barricades hadn't been thrown into a ditch by an unknown person.
