(KTEN) — Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Education Ryan Walters has announced the launch of a new Office of School Choice.

Walters unveiled the program at Thursday night's State Board of Education Meeting, explaining that it would be a one-stop shop for parents to browse and choose their child's schooling.

"Whether it's a charter school, a private school through vouchers or through tax credits; whether it's homeschooling options, open enrollment or open transfer; we want to make sure parents have one place to go where they can navigate options with their child," he said.

Walters added that the department will move existing staff and hire new personnel to create the office.
