(KTEN) — A former Texoma teacher and coach has been sentenced to 69 months in prison for three counts of sexual abuse of a minor in Indian Country.

Erin Nicole Fixico-Mitchell, 33, had previously pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a student at Ada High School while she was a teacher there in 2015.

Fixico-Mitchell also pleaded guilty to the same crime while she was teaching at Byng High School in 2021.

The charges stem from an investigation by Chickasaw Lighthorse Police and the FBI.

The defendant must also submit to a 10-year term of supervised release following her prison term.
