SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN)- Sherman will return to action on Tuesday night as it takes on Forney down in Wylie in the bi-district round of playoffs.

The Bearcats will be looking to snap a long drought. It has been 11 years since they last won a playoff game.

But this year's team comes in with plenty of confidence and momentum. They finished 28-4 in the regular season and won their first district title since 2012.

But as they turn the page to the playoffs, the Bearcats are only focused on the task at hand.

"The district championship was just the culmination of the year of work we put in. It was a good ending to the first chapter of our season," Sherman head coach Jake Hodges said. "We're looking at where we're now, and we're trying to preach that we're 0-0 just like Forney is 0-0. Those 28 games that we've already played are who we are but it doesn't have anything to do with [Tuesday] night."

For the players, they can't wait to take the court.

"Feeling really confident," senior point guard Jakobe Henderson said. "We've got something to prove [Tuesday]. We're on a mission and we've got to go accomplish that. Bring back another gold ball."
