GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KTEN) — A Boil Water Notice has been canceled on Feb. 17th for all 2,000 customers of the Ridgecrest community water system in Grayson County.

The boil water notice was issued on Feb. 15th.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 17, 2024

The alert was prompted by an alert from the Red River Authority, which provides water to Ridgecrest users.

Texas Water Utilities said the area involved includes Ridgecrest, Glen Eden, Hiland Shores, Lakeview, Little Mineral MHP, Millers Estates, Oak Estates, Preston Cove, Preston Forest, Preston Oaks, Preston Point Bend, Ridgecrest, Van Antwerp and VFW Post.
