DENISON, Texas - The Murray State Lady Aggies upped their season record to 10-0 and ran their regular season winning streak to a whopping 67 games on Friday by posting a pair of victories in the THF Winter Blast at Grayson County College.

Murray State broke things open late in a 7-3 triumph against Vernon College and then scored early and often in a 10-2 blitzing of Iowa Central College.

Coach Aaron Mullens’ squad was slated to close out the event with two games Saturday against perennial Division I power Cowley County as well as Paris Junior College.

The Lady Aggies kicked things into gear early in the nightcap, plating three runs in the first inning when Midgley smacked a RBI single and Lute followed with a two-run double as Harman chipped in a hit in the frame.

That however proved to be half Murray State’s hits for the game although they continued to find ways to score. Midgley belted a solo home run in the third with three walks and two Iowa Central errors leading to four Lady Aggie runs in the fourth stanza.

York blasted a two-run homer in the fifth to help force the run rule.

Dara Hamlin twirled four solid innings, yielding two unearned runs on two hits in notching the pitching win.
