HOWE, Texas (KTEN) — The City of Howe announced Sunday that residents should conserve water immediately until told otherwise.

The city said its water source provider, Greater Texoma Utilities Authority, had a technical failure, causing critically low water capacity levels.

The provider has since repaired this issue, and the city's water levels are at "normal operating" conditions.

But the Howe Public Works Department says residents should still follow the conservation notice to give water wells time to refill.
