Gunfire erupts during Wilson car chase
WILSON, Okla. (KTEN) — An investigation is underway in Wilson after a car chase early Wednesday that spanned Carter County.
Three people are facing charges.
The incident was reported around 5 a.m. when a man allegedly caught two individuals attempting to steal car parts.
The victim then chased the suspects across Wilson, exchanging gunfire multiple times.
After going through the town, the suspects then traveled to Lone Grove, where they were apprehended Lone Grove police.
All three people were questioned by police.
"I was dispatched to the area of Pine Street, for two vehicles that were ramming each other," said Wilson police Capt. Kolby Robinson. "I did see, in the yard, where there looked like there was a chase that happened, and I issued a BOLO pertaining to the vehicle, and shortly thereafter the Lone Grove Police Department apprehended them."
One of the suspects, Hannah Wiggs, was arrested for an outstanding warrant in Carter County. Other charges were not specified as of late Wednesday afternoon.
