POTTSBORO, Texas (KTEN)- The Howe Bulldogs now control their own destiny in their search for their first district title in 18 years.

Behind Jacob Cambell's 34 points, the Bulldogs secured a 51-44 victory over Pottsboro on Tuesday night. That boosted the Bulldogs to sole possession of first place in the District 11-3A standings.

Howe is now 6-1 in district and will host Bells this Friday. Pottsboro, meanwhile, falls to 5-2 in district. It will head to Bonham on Friday needing a win to stay within touching distance of the Bulldogs.
