Trio of Collinsville Pirates sign collegiate letters of intent
COLLINSVILLE, Texas (KTEN) - Wednesday morning, three Collinsville multi-sport athletes signed their letters of intent to continue competing in college.
Logan Jenkins may have just led the state in passing yards this fall on the gridiron but his future will be on the diamond as he takes his talents to play baseball at UT-Tyler.
"I feel like deep down baseball has just been the love that I've had ever since I was a little kid," said Jenkins.
Fellow pitcher Ryan Newman will head north of the Red River to play baseball at Northern Oklahoma College.
"Growing up in a small town and small community... it made me feel at home," said Newman.
Finally, Reed Patterson signed to play football at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas after a successful high school career under his dad, head coach Garrett Patterson.
"It's always been a dream and sometimes dreams turn to reality and this just happens to be one of those," said Patterson.
