ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — The Carter County Sheriff has announced an arrest linked to two illegal marijuana grows in Healdton and Ringling.

California resident Chung Pang was arrested in Carter County last week in connection with the busts last month.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics said this is a big step in their investigation of a national grow system, but they're not done yet.

"It's still very much ongoing, and there are a lot of moving parts," said OBN spokesperson Mark Woodward. "There's other people that are moving the plants, moving the workers, laundering the money... many of these people are not even in Oklahoma. If they had one or two farms in southern Oklahoma, it's possible that they've got 40 to 400 other farms throughout the State of Oklahoma."

Charges against the 44-year-old Pang include conspiracy against the state and aggravated manufacture of controlled dangerous substances.
