CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — Three Coleman residents lost their lives and three others were critically injured in a Christmas night collision near Boswell in Choctaw County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the cause of the crash on US 70 just before 9 o'clock remains under investigation.
The accident involved a Ford pickup truck and a Toyota sedan.
All of the deceased were in the sedan: Max Sides Sr, 63, the driver; and passengers Vicki Sides, 55; and Max Sides Jr., 32. A third passenger, identified as Kristina Mannor, 31, of Leesville, Louisiana, suffered critical injuries and was later airlifted to a hospital in Tulsa.
The two men in the pickup truck — driver Fernando Rodriguez-Ramirez, 24, and Humberto Rodriguez-Ramerez, 32 — were moved to North Texas hospitals for treatment of their critical injuries. They are residents of Johnson City, Texas.
OHP said the weather was clear and the pavement was dry at the time of the incident.
