COLLINSVILLE, Texas (KTEN) - The Collinsville Pirates have been waiting for a rematch with Albany in the regional finals for nearly 365 days.

Last year the Lions ended the Pirates season with a 66-34 win in this very round. However, the 2023 version of Collinsville football is older, wiser and more explosive.

"Last year, it was more 'how far can we go,"" said Collinsville head coach Garrett Patterson. "This year it's a lot different. We understand that the road goes through Albany and we're going to have to take care of business this week."
