GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KTEN) — Citizens of Grayson County will see changes after the results of local elections were tallied.

Sherman City Council members Josh Stevenson and Daron Holland were both re-elected for their third terms.

Voters in Gunter decided to abandon the city manager form of government.

And in Collinsville, a $16 million school bond package got the green light, with 52 percent of the vote.

The funds will be used to demolish a currently empty former elementary school. The current elementary school will get new classrooms, offices and more parking.

Collinsville Independent School District Matthew Davenport said there will also be security improvements made to the entrance of the high school.

"Ideally, we should have some common ground on two issues, and those two issues are: We want what's best for our kids in the future, and we want what's better for our community, being Collinsville," he said.
