(KTEN) – When you hear the phrase “daily double”, you might think of the game show Jeopardy! Well, this phrase also has a meteorological meaning behind it.

The phrase “daily double” refers to the tying or breaking of a record low AND record high temperature within the same day. As you might imagine, this is a rare feat. Durant, Oklahoma, achieved this on November 8 with a new record high low temperature and a new record high temperature!
