DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - The Denison Yellow Jackets made quite the statement last week beating Crandall 48-22, which puts them in the drivers seat to finish third in their district.

However, the celebrations have not commenced yet for the Jackets who still have to beat 0-9 Poteet on the road on Thursday.

"After the Melissa game, we knew we had to win three straight," said senior running back Jack Aleman. "We've won two and we have to have the same mindset going into this game as we did last week."

Kickoff at Mesquite Memorial Stadium is set for 7 p.m. Thursday.
