Looking Ahead - Winds will be gusting up to 35-40 MPH Friday. If you're going to be on the roof hanging lights... you will want to make sure you and the decorations are secure. Highs could climb to 74 degrees Friday afternoon. The record high for December 8th was set back in 1966 with a high of 79. For those wishing it would feel a bit more like winter, a cold front is slated to move in Friday night into Saturday. This will wipe away those 70s and drop highs to the 50s this weekend. A level 1 risk is in place along/east of the US 69/75 corridor Friday night with a low chance for strong to severe storms. McCurtain County and East Texas are included in a level 1 risk for thunderstorms Saturday afternoon.
