Ada travels to Poteau in battle of unbeatens
ADA, Oklahoma (KTEN)- This time of the year, we get a few games that have huge implications on the playoffs.
And this week, that honor belongs to a top five matchup in Oklahoma 4A football.
The number four 8-0 Ada Cougars will travel to 8-0 Poteau, the top ranked team in all of 4A. Both of these teams have outscored their opponents this season by over 200 points.
To add more to it, the winner of this game will take the 4A district four title. Something Ada hasn't won since 2017.
Head Coach Brad O'Steen certainly has the Cougar program trending in the right direction.
The swagger and confidence this team plays with shows that, but he still wants them to remain locked in heading into their biggest game this year.
"We just got to stay hungry and that's the thing that the kids have to understand," Ada head coach Brad O'Steen said. "You can't get satisfied. Be happy that you're playing well and all those things, but stay hungry. Stay unsatisfied. Have that hunger to go compete and be the best."
Kickoff is in Poteau at 7:00 on Friday night.
