DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — Loyal Blue, a dog training organization, celebrated its inaugural event on Saturday: Dog Days at the Bryan County Fairgrounds.

Canines and their owners attended to learn about training and to meet new furry friends.

Loyal Blue also introduced barn hunting, where dogs track a protected rat hidden in hay.

"They're timed on how long it takes them to find it," said Loyal Blue owner Sarah Hill. "It's really a lot of fun.  We've actually been surprised that we've had a lot of beginners and dogs that have never experienced it whatsoever and they're actually doing really well. So they get to use their natural instincts as a fun game."
