SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN)- Frisco Lone Star, the ninth-ranked team in 5A Division I, proved to be too much for Sherman on Friday night.

Sherman wide receiver Colby Ray Short had a rushing touchdown early to cut Lone Star's lead to 14-7, but the Rangers eventually pulled away for a 41-10 victory.

It has been a rough stretch of games for the Bearcats as they are now 2-6 on the season. They will look to break their four-game losing streak next Friday on the road at Wakeland.
