Sherman jury deliberates in Wade murder case

SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — The fate of accused killer Ebby Wade is now in the hands of a Sherman jury.
Wade, 46, was charged with first-degree murder after the body of 21-year-old Emilia Gunnels was found in March 2020, three days after she was reported missing.
He was the last known person to see Gunnels alive.
The defendant's legal team presented three witnesses in court on Friday morning ahead of final arguments.
Over the past five days, jurors have heard from officers who were involved in the case, forensics personnel, and other witnesses related to the incident.
The jury deliberated for a little more than two hours on Friday afternoon, but they ended the day with no verdict. Rhey'll be back again Monday morning at 8:45.
