DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — It's been a long time coming, but Thursday at noon, West University Boulevard in Durant will reopen to two-way traffic.

The city says almost all traffic lights will be operating when motorists resume traveling on the widened thoroughfare after nearly two years of construction.

The intersection of University Boulevard and University Place will remain a four-way stop while those signals wait for wiring.

Construction crews will finish additional tasks on the street over the next few weeks.
