Lone Grove wins wild Five Mile Feud in overtime over Plainview
ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KTEN)- Lone Grove and Plainview deserved the spotlight of being the lone Oklahoma game in our area on Thursday.
The annual Five Mile Feud was a wild back-and-forth affair that saw Lone Grove edge Plainview in overtime 34-28.
The Longhorns came from behind three times to tie the game, including on a 41-yard Hail Mary from Jaxon McClennahan to D'Marion Jackson on the final play of the first half.
McClennahan would score the winning touchdown in overtime on a short-yardage run.
Lone Grove improves to 1-2 in 3A District 2 play and will face Sulphur at home next Thursday. Plainview, meanwhile, is 2-1 in 3A District 2 play and will have a big road trip next Thursday as it takes on Pauls Valley.
