ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Ardmore police are investigating multiple shootings over the last week, one of them fatal.

Sgt. Jake Glazener said officers were dispatched to Mercy Hospital around 3:30 a.m. last Friday, where a gunshot victim was brought by private car.

"When officers arrived, they made contact with hospital staff and were told that 20-year-old Damitchell Calvin arrived at the hospital deceased," Glazener explained.

There were three separate shootings that same night in Ardmore, and police believe all of the incidents are connected.

Officers believe the fatal shooting happened in or near the 400 block of 11th Ave. NE.

"We have not located any physical evidence to support that yet. When I say physical evidence, I mean things like shell casings and things of that nature, but all of the information we received indicates it happened in the 400 block of 11th Avenue NE," Glazener said.

The recent increase in shootings in Ardmore has some locals feeling uneasy.

"There was a drive-by shooting in my neighborhood about a month ago," said Ardmore resident Chan Glidewell. "I wasn't there when it happened. I got there right when the cops were getting there, and it was real unnerving for people in that neighborhood who seemed to think it was a nice neighborhood now; maybe it is deteriorating, but driveby shootings, nobody wants that."

No arrests have been made in connection with the fatal shooting on September 22nd.

"If there are people who live in the area of 400 11th Northeast that may have cameras on their houses — or they heard something, saw something on September 22nd around 3:30 a.m. — if you have a business that may have a camera, then please check those cameras," Glazener said. "And if you have any information that could help us, please contact our department."
