SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — The sheriff's office has now identified the victim in Friday's homicide case in rural southeast Grayson County.

Lacie Griffin, 30, was shot and killed at a residence near Trenton.

Investigators arrested her father-in-law, Ricky Eugene Griffin, 59, in connection with the fatal shooting.

"Witnesses told investigators Ricky Griffin was acting strangely and had been making threats," the sheriff's office said in a written statement. "Lacie Griffin had gone to the residence to check on her father-in-law, when it is believed Ricky Griffin shot her."

Ricky Griffin, whose address is in Trenton, was charged with murder and is being held on an $850,000 bond.
