TRENTON, Texas (KTEN) — A Trenton man was taken into custody early Friday morning facing a murder charge.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a residence in the 12000 block of East Line Road to investigate a report of shots fired.

"Upon arrival, deputies found one victim deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound," Capt. Martin Hall said in a written statement. The identity of the shooting victim was not released.

Ricky Eugene Griffin, 59, was arrested and booked into the Grayson County Jail. 

Hall said no bond for Griffin had been established and that the investigation into the shooting continued.
