Sherman police prepare for Fright Fest
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Sherman police are gearing up for their annual Fright Fest, a Halloween tradition hosted by the department.
It began after September 11, 2001 to give families a safe place to trick-or-treat.
Officers say they're looking for more vendors to help pass out treats.
"If there's any businesses, churches, organizations that want to take part in it... it's free," said Sgt. Brett Mullen. "All you have to do is supply your own candy and set up your booth. All we ask is to bring enough candy and have a good time."
The event is planned to be held at Pecan Grove Athletic Complex on Monday, October 30.
If you're interested to set up a tent to pass out candy, you can email Sgt. Mullen at [email protected].
