DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) - Following a 34-19 loss to Southern Arkansas on Thursday, Southeastern is turning the page to their home opener Saturday against Henderson State.

The Savage Storm underwent a coaching change this offseason as Tyler Fenwick went to Missouri Western, prompting Bo Atterberry to return to Durant.

This is Atterberry's second stint as head coach at Southeastern, previously holding the reigns from 2014-2018. While they have a lot of new faces on the field, there has been a solid connection between players and the coaching staff.

"It's been a little smoother than normal, just because there are some guys that we did recruit before," said Atterberry.

"I couldn't ask for a better head coach right now," said senior linebacker Cameron Tate. "He's the one who recruited me when I was a freshman so it's kind of full circle and I really appreciate him for it."

Kickoff against Henderson State is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at Paul Laird Field.
