DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - After a tough loss to Frisco Reedy on Friday, the Denison Yellow Jackets are turning the page to their week three opponent Kennedale.

Last year the Jackets beat the Wildcats 35-28 and coach Brent Whitson likes the matchup for his team because it prepares them for district foes like Terrell and Mesquite Poteet who both run similar wing-t offenses.

"It was intentional to schedule them," said Denison head coach Brent Whitson. "We do it with a thought toward making sure we're ready for the games that do count."

Denison at Kennedale kicks off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
