Sherman intent on improving ahead of trip to Princeton
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN)- Life goes on. That's the message at Sherman after its 42-0 loss to Denison.
"The sun came up on Saturday," Sherman head coach Josh Aleman said. "So, we went back to work. Once again, we're stressing discipline to our kids and that's across the board."
Sherman will have its final non-district game of the season this Friday at Princeton.
With district play just over a week away, Aleman said every day is a crucial one for his Bearcats.
"We got to find our identity as a team and who we're going to be, who the 2023 Bearcats are going to be," Aleman said. "Each practice and every time we're in the film room or meeting room, we got to get better."
One big improvement Sherman expects to show on Friday is its unity.
"The key to victory is us playing as a team and not just as individuals," senior offensive lineman Drake Holmes said. "There was a lot going on in that game [BOTA], and we need to be more of a team."
Kickoff in Princeton is set for 7:30.
