Caddo celebrates two championship teams
CADDO, Okla. (KTEN) - Caddo High School might need some new trophy cases for the amount of state titles they have won in the last two years. Wednesday, the Bruins celebrated their boys basketball and slow-pitch softball teams that won championships in the spring with a ring ceremony.
The Lady Bruins have made this a routine, winning the fast and slow-pitch state championships for two consecutive years. However, this was the school's first ever state title in boys basketball.
Regardless of how they won, it was a special moment for both teams.
"It's great every single time," said senior softball standout Kadey Lee McKay. "This year it hit home. It's really hard to do it twice, even four times so I feel like it's a great feeling."
"A lot of support, it makes us feel really good," said senior basketball star DJ Dill. "We just have to keep doing it and do it again."
