ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — The Ada Police Department has released body cam footage from an arrest made Monday in the Walmart parking lot.

The video shows officers arresting Justin Glaspey. Police say Glaspey resisted arrest and ignored repeated commands from law enforcement.

Lighthorse police were called to help with the arrest, but officials said Glaspey continued to resist when officers took him to the ground to gain custody.

During a review of the chest cam footage, Ada Police counted 59 lawful orders that Glaspey ignored or willfully did not comply with.

While down, Glaspey wouldn't give officers his hands; that's when one officer began striking his shoulder to free his arms from underneath.

Glaspey faces charges, including driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault on a police officer.
